Once completed, this facility will provide 59 units of housing for families experiencing homelessness. Families that arrive at Providence House are often escaping traumatic and chaotic environments. Because of this, our staff works closely with families to provide them with everything they need to feel emotionally and physically safe and secure. We understand that feeling safe is the first step in growing toward independence and empowerment.
Your $100 donation:
Provides new bedding for adult beds, toddler beds, and cribs
Purchases a basket of food for families
Covers fees associated with securing essential documents including birth certificates, social security cards, and any missing identification
Once safe, Providence House families work with staff to develop the skills and tools to find affordable housing and meaningful employment. Our Video Interactive Guidance (VIG) program teaches parents positive and effective interactions with their children, building on what’s already working and boosting their confidence as parents.
Your $200 donation:
Provides a tutor for residents working toward their GED
Purchases appropriate clothing for job interviews
Equips the VIG program with the necessary technology for the parental training
After building their capacity and developing their skills to provide for their family, residents are ready to to transition into affordable, independent living. In order to send them on their way to create their own safe, secure environments, Providence House provides each with the furnishings to start this new, empowered chapter of their lives.
Your $500 donation:
Helps to fund our Housing Specialist who assists residents obtain affordable apartments
Purchases essential household items for families moving into their own apartments
Supports our Aftercare Program that helps clients as they adjust to independent living
