Help us refresh the cozy community spaces for the residents in our Women’s Justice Program.
Our Prospect-Lefferts Gardens residence is one of our oldest and most beloved buildings. This former convent provides a supportive, compassionate environment for 15 women who would otherwise be held on Rikers Island.
Studies have shown that a building a strong support system is integral to interrupting the cyclical nature of criminal justice involvement, so community is at the very center of the Women’s Justice Program. As such, there is a special significance to the shared living areas at this facility and it’s time they had a bit of a refresh! Support the Prospect-Lefferts Garden residence this holiday season and help us to ‘spruce’ up these communal spaces with new furniture and decor.
